Mater Lakes Grades Are In...

Miami, FL, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 – The State of Florida has released their school grades. Both Mater Lakes Academy Middle and High School received an A for the 2016-2017 school year.

When news broke of the grades being posted, the staff at Mater Lakes were anxiously awaiting the webpage to load and when they scrolled to the scores of both the middle and high school, the roar of cheers and applause can be heard from outside. "With the state recognizing both our middle and high school as A schools, it shows the rest of the state what we have known all along that we are an exemplary school with great students and an amazing faculty and staff, " said Mr. Rene F. Rovirosa, Principal.

"I already felt that we were a Double A, but knowing it is official is super exciting!," said Ms. Jennifer Tapia, Class of 2018 senior.

Mater Lakes Academy is a Miami-Dade County Public Charter School, with students enrolled in 6th – 12th grade. Mater Lakes Academy has been open since the 2006-2007 academic school year, and is currently in its 11th year under the direction of Principal Rene F. Rovirosa.
