AP U.S. History (APUSH) (Period 7)

Location: 525
  • 2018-2019 School Year

Code: 7018

Welcome to my Advanced Placement U.S History (APUSH) Class:

It is said that to understand where we are going, we need to understand where we have been. U.S. History is vital and continually evolving. In order to prepare for future roles as citizens and leaders, it is important to learn about our country’s history, our government, and the responsibilities of a citizen living in a democracy. This comprehensive college course will approach the study of United States history both chronologically and thematically. Students will develop a general understanding of historical concepts, perspectives, and arguments. Textbooks, videos, primary resources, and other supplementary materials will be used throughout the school year to enhance knowledge and understanding of American History as well as the cultivation of critical and historical thinking skills. Students will have a very important Advanced Placement exam at the end of this course. Therefore full participation and effort from both students and parents are of vital importance in order to succeed in this course. Please make sure to take a look at my website on a daily basis as important announcements and assignments will be posted here daily. This is also an invitation for parents!

Please make sure to take a look at the syllabus attached. Turning in completed form will be your first grade in my class!

I look forward to meeting all of you!
