A: If a student fails a core class in middle school, they must retake the course during summer school. The course(s) must be completed in order for the student to be promoted to high school.

A: If a student does NOT have 3 credits in Math, 3 credits in Science, 3 credits in Social Studies, and 3 credits in Language Arts by the time their 8th grade year is over, they will NOT be promoted to high school and will be retained in the 8th grade for the entire school year.
Q: What happens if a student does not pass the FSA English Language Arts?
A: If a student does not pass the FSA English Language Arts, they will be required to take an intensive reading class the following school year. This class will substitute an elective choice.
